Offer in Compromise: IRS Tax Representation

An Offer in Compromise is an attempt to settle your tax debt for less. There a few things you should know before you begin the application.

  • The IRS is most likely going to hold out for the full debt payment before they accept an Offer in Compromise. The IRS will often reject offers based on these grounds:
    1. If your annual income is enough for full payment of the debt, the IRS will reject an Offer in Compromise.
    2. If you have assets that can be sold to settle full amount of the debt, the IRS will reject an Offer in Compromise.

We’ve handled many Offer in Compromise requests.  We can successfully guide you through the process because, just like the IRS, we’re thorough, and we understand IRS policy.
